| Description |
This is a hands on course, which gives the student experience within the workings of accounting software. This course will allow students to gain a better understanding of the accounting process through accounting window application.
The student will become familiar with various accounting reports relating to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll and financial statements. This course also makes available various real world software packages for students to further enhance their knowledge of microcomputers. This course covers small business accounting using QuickBooks software. Topics include creating a chart of accounts, recording customer and vendor transactions, processing payroll, and printing reports. In addition, setting up a new company is covered as well as advanced topics such as exporting to
Excel software and using the QuickBooks audit trail.
